Le Sueur County Pioneer Power 35th Swap Meet
April 27, 28, 29, 2012

The 2011 swap meet is behind us..........thank goodness. The weather was on the nasty side. The winter here in southern Minnesota was a long, cold, and snowy one, with near record snowfall amounts. The snowfall dragged into April on a few occasions. The Tuesday before the meet was a rainy day with over an inch falling, then drizzle on Wednesday and cloudy on Thursday. The grounds and parking lot was a bit on the muddy side. The vendors kept coming in from all points of the US and Canada. The gates were opened on Thursday noon due to congestion on the county roadways. Every one got in and immediately set up their displays. Friday was a sunny, perfect day and was very crowded. The amount of vendors was nearly equal to other years. A little more rain over Friday night kept the grounds wet for Saturday with windy and cool conditions. Sunday was clean-up and pull out day.The 5 loaders were again kept busy all three days, transferring heavy items from one owner to another. Many smaller haulers were also kept busy. Don't forget the nearly 150 inside vendors. For more 2011 swap meet photos, click HERE.

The Board of Directors would like to thank every one for attending!

Several changes to the show grounds have happened since the 2011 swap meet. A church, double corn crib, and granary have been moved in. Please be respective of the grounds due to the need for landscaping yet around the church. If the spring weather is good and we can get the landscaping done in time for the swap meet, then there will be minimum of area taken up for dirt work.

NO CHARGE TO SPECTATORS

Vendor admittance times: The time we open the gates on Thursday will depend on the weather and congestion on the roads. Tune to KCHK radio at 1350 AM to listen for gate opening times. Please be at your vehicle by at least 10 AM Thursday morning. INSIDE VENDORS WILL BE ALLOWED ENTRANCE AT 8 AM THURSDAY MORNING FOR SETUP ONLY. We will leave vendors in until it gets dark and then shut the gates, and then open again at 6:00 AM Friday morning. Still no selling until Friday morning and spectators are asked to stay away until 8:00 AM on Friday morning, that way the congestion in the parking lot will be down to a minimum.

Vendor prices are as follows:
$45 Charge for outside space, if you need an oversize space, please consider paying double.

$50 For inside space, paid in advance with registration. Inside spots sell out every year, so best is to check with Nancy if any are available.

Registration Building: As soon as you arrive please come to the building and get registered. Register your golf cart, lawn mower or handicap vehicle at the counter just inside the front door. Vendor registration is against the back wall. Be sure to grab a cup of coffee and cookie.
